First of all, remember to check this link and apply to join the content creation team before starting to write a guide. As it is, there are five types of guides you can write: introduction, faction description, event compendium, custom strategy and video guide. What is expected to be in each of these is described below.

Introduction
It is supposed to introduce the map as a whole, highlighting general details, as such whether it is spawn or income-based, revivable heroes or not, rally points or not, general gameplay, team-based or not and so on. It is also here where you must highlight unique features of each map, such as the clock in First War, the destroyable bridges in DAoW 5.4, the tier system in AWLR, the base repair in Panther Maps, the item system in CotH and other details that are particular of the map being discussed.

Faction Descriptions

2. Path Descriptions
3. Units & Upgrades & Counters
4. Heroes/Spells & Their Priorities
5. Initial Tactics & Strategy (Start of Game)
6. Mid-Late Game
7. Common Mistakes
8. Personal Comments

Build-Based Maps
1. Faction Intro/Overview/Events
2. Army-Composition & Upgrades
3. Heroes/Spells & Their Priorities
4. Events
5. Initial Tactics & Strategy (Start of Game)
6. Mid-Late Game
7. Common Mistakes
8. Personal Comments

LotR-Based Maps (BFME, Ring Wars...)
1. Faction Intro/Overview/Events
2. Notable Buildings /Units
3. Heroes/Spells & Their Priorities
4. Positioning/Control Groups
5. Initial Tactics & Strategy (Start of Game)
6. Mid-Late Game
7. Common Mistakes
8. Personal Comments

Custom Strategies
This is where you may contribute with unique, unorthodox gameplay ideas. Attacking different factions, going for a different gameplay, pursuing different game styles in general. Be creative.

Event Compendium
There will be only one for each map. It must contain all the events divided in factions. It is a particularly tiresome and taxing task, so good luck.

Video Guide
Make short videos highlighting important aspects of the map such as "typical herokills", "positioning & strategies", "counterplays", "succesful attacks/sieges" and so on. Feel free to use your creativity.
Example: Video

The usage of pictures is also strongly encouraged, but it is not necessary.
Obs: These are just general instructions. Some maps will require more or less focus in some areas. Other won’t have one of the proposed topics. Feel free to make minor changes, but try to keep the main axis of the proposed structure.
